Cosecha is an organic quality lead farm hidden in a mountain range near Antigua. It has been producing for 4 generations, and is well known throughout the region. In 1883, doña Dominga Mont purchased the plantation and her son-in-law, don Marcelo Orive, converted it to the cultivation of coffee.
Due to their hard work, meticulous selection process and constant improvements they’ve managed to become one of the most recognized farms in Guatemala.
Cherries for this lot were picked at the peak of their ripeness to highlight the sweet and clean Maragogype notes. After de-pulping and separation the beans are dry-fermented for 28-32 hours and then washed in a steep 200m long washing channel. Clean parchment beans are then dried over 10-12 days on raised beds.
